Sasuke Toriyama was born on March 23rd, 1987 in Japan to Akira Toriyama and Yoshimi Katō. Both his parents are manga artists, his mother was known by the name Nachi Mikami. Sasuke has a younger sister who was born in October 1990, the family resides in Kiyosu, Japan.
Profession
In recent news, it was revealed that Sasuke has been working with his father on the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero manga series. He has received created rights for this project and it is speculated that Sasuke will take on the legacy of his father once he retires from the industry.

Sasuke’s father Akira Toriyama was born on April 5th. 1955 in Nagoya, Aichi, Japan. He is a highly acclaimed manga artist, character designer, and model designer. He married Yoshimi Katō and the pair have two children. They got hitched on May 2, 1982, and Yoshimi is a constant help to Akira when creating manga. Akira had a keen interest in drawing and manga from a very young age, it was the movie ‘Hundred and One Dalmatians’ that inspired him to illustrate often. The manga ‘Astro Boy’ by Osamu Tezuka was a driving force that spawned his interest in creating manga.
Before Sasuke’s father could venture into the world of manga, he worked in an advertising company for a short while and quit later as the work environment didn’t suit him well. Akira took his first step towards being a manga artist at the age of 23, he did so by sending his work to an amateur shonen weekly magazine. His work was recognized by the editor of Weekly Shonen Jump, Kazuhiko Torishima who urged Toriyama to continue drawing and send him entries.
