Early Season Recap

ReLife is one of the most exciting anime series of its time and it caught the attention of several fans, viewers, and critics. The story as such would always get the interest of the community for renewal or the second season.

But before we dive into everything we need to know about the second season, let us have a brief recap on the first season to give us a better understanding of what to expect.

In the first season, the story revolves around the main character ‘Arata Kaizaki’, a 27-year-old NEET or not in education, employment, or training, a person who has not been employed for several years.

ReLIFE Season 2: Plot

Since the final OVA in 2018 pretty much closed the story of ReLIFE, there are still several fan-based and critics perspectives of a story plot that came from the manga series.

It was the TMS Entertainment production team who produced the debut season and OVA episode of ReLIFE and released its final OVA in 2018. After that, the production team has not released any information on the upcoming future of the series. The creators as well as the main crew have been tight with their lips and careful not to release any hopeful or hidden messages of the series. Any movement will depend on them as to when they decide to create a new story for the series.

While many theories have been talked about the real challenge of viewer critics is that the production has complete control over every story plot they can come up with, and surely many would still be excited because of how the production made it diverse.

Nevertheless, here is some story plot that might be possible in the second season. We can expect that the additional story plot will revolve around the deep backstory of the main characters, the story will start or more focused on the relationship of Ohga and Kariu, story movement will future forward of the main characters as how the first season has changed their lives, and there will be another type of ReLIFE test program that would be a new feature. As to how they have accomplished the program, there would be more and technical programs that will be offered to them.

The first season has a soft dramatic closure, we can expect that season 2 will start with a more dramatic feel while maintaining the fun and exciting anime portrayal.

There is also another possibility of a ReLIFE reprogram but with a different person or character and it will follow a new storyline and adventure.

ReLIFE Season 2: Cast

If the series will be renewed, we can expect that the main characters of the story will still be there. Here are some of the main characters and respective voice actors for the animation series.

Arata Kaizaki who was voiced by Kensho Ono, Chizuru Hishiro who was voiced by Ai Kayano, Ryo Yoake who was voiced by Ryohei Kimura, Rena Kariu who was voiced by Haruka Tomatsu, Kazuomi Oga who was voiced by Yuma Uchida, An Onoya who was voiced by Reina Ueda, Honoka Tamra who was voiced by Himika Akaneya, Akira Inukai who was voiced by Noriaki Sugiyama, Nobunaga Asaji who was voiced by Daisuke Namikawa, Kokoro Amatsu who was voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro, Koshi Usa who was voiced by Wataru Shiraishi, and Michiru Saiki who was voiced by Shizuka Ito.

We can expect that some of the characters may not be in the second series and additional characters will also be introduced to keep the pace of the new plot.

New character voice actors will still be subject to production casting.

ReLIFE Season 2: Release Date

The Original Video Animation that was released after the first season has a conclusive plot, this opened the opportunity for the makers to create a new plot, should there be a second season of the series. However, this can also be a sign that the series has finally closed its story.

But we are on the optimistic side of the community and there is a greater chance that the series will be renewed because of its popularity and number of followers.

If the creators decide to push through the second season, it would most probably happen in 2022 or much later.
