He was born in the United States of America, His parents are William Johnathan Drayton Jr. and Angela (Angie) Parker. He has two other siblings and four half-siblings.

His father Flavor Flav

William Johnathan Drayton Jr. better known as Flavour Flav was born on March 16th, 1959 in Roosevelt, New York, United States of America. He is famed as a rapper, TV personality, and a hype man. Drayton began pursuing music at the age of 5 when he learned how to play the piano.  He was an active part of the church youth choir group and went on to learn other instruments like guitar, drum, and piano and mastered the art.

He did his schooling briefly at Freeport High School, unfortunately, he dropped out as he was often in and out of jail for burglary. William however went on to pursue education in culinary arts in 1978. He received his further education from Adelphi University, where he met his long-time friend Chuck D.

William’s first partner was Karen Ross with whom he has three children. The duo split and he then went on to have a relationship with Angie Park, with whom he again has three children out of which one is Quanah Drayton. After his split with Angie Parker, he went on to have two more children, one with Kate Gammell and Elizabeth Trujillo.

Flavor Flav’s Music Career

William has had a successful music career, he debuted in the year 1985. He adopted the stage name Flavor Flav which was originally his graffiti tag. He stepped into the limelight with his music group in collaboration with Chuck D called Public Enemy. It was in 1988, with the release of the album It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back that brought the duo nationwide fame.

His Father’s Restaurant Business

Quanah’s father put his culinary knowledge to use and built up a restaurant business that focused on selling chicken wings curated with William’s special recipe. He partnered up with Nick Cimino and opened up the business in Clinton, Iowa, United States of America. The restaurant opened up in several other locations like Los Angeles and Michigan and later turned into a national franchise. Sadly, the business shut down in July 2013 due to failure to pay rent.

Quanah’s father is also a TV personality who has appeared as a host and participant in many well-known shows like MTV2’s surreal black comedy show, WWE Raw, Nite Tales and Def Jam: Fight for NY.

Quanah’s father has been appointed as a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and is a six-time Grammy Award Nominee.
