He is a member of the Anoa’i family of Samoan wrestlers, who have had a presence in professional wrestling since the mid-twentieth century. However, he is quite a polite and gentle man, and has chosen not to become a professional wrestler.

He has won several championships, and had made a name for himself in the world of wrestling. He made a debut in wrestling in 1985, and has had quite an active career. Rikishi and his wife, Talisua Fuavai-Fatu have five children together, so Jeremiah Piniata Fatu has four siblings. The first-born siblings are twins, Joshua Samuel Fatu and Jonathan Solofa Fatu are twins, and they fight in the WWE as Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso respectively. They are part of a tag team, called The Usos, and are the current Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions. They perform on the SmackDown brand of the WWE. They are the first team that won both the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championships and the only team to do so simultaneously.

Jeremiah’s younger brother, Joseph “Sefa” Fatu is also a wrestler, who made his debut on Rikishi’s promotion KnokX Pro Wrestling. Over the years, he has wrestled for several independent promotions, and is currently in the NXT, a developmental brand for WWE. Jeremiah also has a sister, named Thavana Monalisa Fatu, who is a plus-size model, fashion designer, and also songwriter. All his siblings are quite successful and doing pretty well in life.
