The Early life of Sean Hannity
Patrick Sean Hannity was sired in New York City on December 30, 1961, and was raised in Franklin Square. Lillian, his mother, worked as a stenographer and correction officer at the county jail, while his father, known as Hugh, worked as a family court officer. Hannity is the youngest after his four siblings.
He joined St. Pius x preparatory high school and later enrolled in New York University, UC Santa Barbara, and Adelphi University. However, he didn’t graduate from college. In 1989, Sean Hannity began his own house painting business, and after some time, he started working as a contractor in the Santa Barbara state of California. While in California, he got a job to host his first talk show at UC Santa barbara’s volunteer college station, KCSB-FM.
Later on, the weekly show was cancelled within a few months; this was due to controversy over the contentious behaviour where LGBT rights dominated the discussion in the show. After the show’s cancellation, he joined WVNN in Athens, Alabama, where he used to host the afternoon show. Later he vacated to WGST Atlanta in 1992.
Radio and television career of Sean Hannity
Sean Hannity got the opportunity for wider exposure on the huge audience in 1996 when the co-founder of fox news hired him; roger Aisles, to host a television program with the cohost Alan Colmes which was later debuted under Hannity and Colmes name and was aired until January 2009.
From the show, Sean Hannity provided the conservative point of view while Colmes was representing the liberal side. Apart from venturing into television, he didn’t leave his radio works. In 1997, he joined WABC as a full-time employer, and he was in charge of the late-night section before he was shifted to the afternoon drive time section in 1998. He continued to air the program until 2013.
The program ‘The Sean Hannity” started national syndication in September 2001 when it was available for over 500 stations globally. The show is purely conservative for a political talk that usually portrays Hannity’s point of view regarding issues, events, and political ideologies.
In 2008, Sean Hannity signed a $100 million contract with citadel communications to go for five years. Later, talker magazine ranked Hannity position two in 2017; he was inducted into the national radio hall of fame and awarded the Marconi in 2003.

Later he joined WVNN located in Athens in Alabama, and later, he went to WGST in Atlanta. He still worked at WABC in New York City in 2013 after leaving WGST. In 1996, both Sean Hannity and Alan Colmes collaborated to host the show ‘ Hannity and Colmes of the fox. After Colmes declared that he was leaving in January 2008, Hannity decided to change the show’s name from Hannity and Colmes to Hannity show. Personal life
Hannity got married to Jill Rhodes in 1993, and they were blessed with two children. However, they divorced in June 2020. Hannity was a Christian though later, he left the catholic faith claiming it was full of corruption.
