James Preston Kennedy, commonly known as Preston, is the son and only child of Rebecca and John Kennedy.
His father is a Louisiana senator. From 2002 to 2016, John Kennedy worked at Louisiana State University as an adjunct professor. He was also a regular volunteer as a substitute teacher at various Louisiana public schools.

Who is James Preston Kennedy’s Father?
James Preston Kennedy’s father is John Neely Kennedy. He is an American politician and lawyer. He was born on November 21, 1951.
John was born in Centreville, Mississippi. He graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law and attended Magdalen College, Oxford.
John became special counsel in 1988 to Governor Buddy Roemer. Then, he was appointed as cabinet secretary from 1991 to 1992.
From 2000 to 2017, John served as the Louisiana State Treasurer. He’s also a democrat turned republican.
Since 2017, John has served as the junior US senator from Louisiana.
As of today, John resides in Madisonville in St. Tammany Parish. He is currently living with his wife, Rebecca Kennedy. It isn’t known if his son is living with them.
Even though he shares the first and last name of the 35th president of the United States, John Neely Kennedy is not related to John F. Kennedy.
