The game industry is a vast world and it’s one that never ceases to amaze us with its continual growth. As many of you know, the arcade culture has been making a huge comeback in recent years with places like Chuck E Cheese’s and Dave & Buster’s popping up everywhere. However, while these places may satisfy your craving for some gaming fun, they are nowhere near as satisfying as the real thing. Now you can experience firsthand just how great it is to play a game in an arcade setting. Here is a list of some of the best Arcade Games Venues in Vietnam.
If you’re looking for some amazing arcade games, then look no further than the Arcade Warehouse. The place is a little crowded and hot but it’s worth it. Also, the place attracts a large number of female gamers which is a good thing. The games all look pretty high quality as well, especially the one where you can actually play on a starship. Although it’s in Hanoi, there are two different locations so you’ll have to check out the other location if you want to play some classic games like Yie Ar Kung-Fu and Star Wars.
While it’s a little on the expensive side, XOXO definitely makes up for it in aesthetics. With its high ceilings, large booths, and calming atmosphere, XOXO is one of the most popular places to play arcades in Vietnam. The place also has a good number of fun arcade games that are perfect for beginners.
There are two different locations for this one, one of which is in Hanoi and the other one is in Ho Chi Minh City. The first thing you’ll notice about this place is just how dark it gets at night. However, the nice thing about this arcade in Vietnam is you can’t see the tears streaming down your face after you get viciously beaten by a high-level player in your first ever game of Tekken Tag Tournament. The place is also extremely crowded so be sure to make a reservation ahead of time if you plan on visiting in the evening.
This arcade game par excellence is found right in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City. Unfortunately, they don’t have a whole lot of arcade games but they do have some high-quality ones that’ll definitely provide you with the experience you’re looking for. For example, the one where you take control of an adorable dog who’s trying to rescue his friends from a nasty, yellow blob is pretty fun. There are also plenty of imported games that you might not be able to find elsewhere.
In Saigon, there are a lot of places that are popular for nightlife and shopping. However, none of them provide the same experience as Game World. The place has 20 different games including Galaga and Rygar which you can play to your heart’s content. There’s also a little snack bar where you can grab some quickly cooked food to go along with your arcade game time. It is located in District 1 so be prepared if you’re driving or taking public transport.
While these places may not be the most popular ones, they are definitely a good alternative. The arcade games in them are usually more affordable so you’ll have no problem getting your fix of arcade games. There are also a ton of other places for you to go if you’re interested in trying out different types of arcades.
