Barack Hussein Obama II was born on August 4, 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii, in Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children. His parents are Ann Dunham, an American of European descent, and Barack Obama Sr., an African. Barack’s parents met in 1960 in a Russian language class. They went to the University of Hawaii at Manoa and Barack’s father was a foreign exchange student. The couple divorced in March 1964.
Barack and his mother moved to Indonesia when he was just six years old to join his step-father, Lolo Soetoro whom his mother met in 1963.
