However, very much like her father, she choose a career in acting, and has played major roles in several theatrical masterpieces. Along with her husband Jacques Auxenel, she converted a silo to a brand new theatre in Montoire sur le Loir and produced many modern comedies where she acted while her husband directed them.

Over the years, Annette Chaplin lived between Paris, Switzerland and Montoire sur le Loir. She has toured with the monologue Shirley Valentine, and also in Jean Anouilh’s La Belle Vie. Besides, she also raises and rides Arabian thoroughbreds and Freiberger horses.

So, Annette Emily Chaplin had a lot of siblings, but there were also many that she may not have personally known since they were from different mothers, or had met their untimely deaths. Annette Chaplin had four direct sisters and three brothers from the same mother. They were Geraldine Chaplin (born 1944), Michael Chaplin (born 1946), Josephine Chaplin (born 1949), Victoria Chaplin (born 1951), Eugene Anthony Chaplin (born 1953), Jane Cecil Chaplin (born 1957), and Christopher Chaplin (born 1962).

Annette Emily Chaplin also had three step siblings, who were born from different mothers. Charlie Chaplin and his first wife Mildred Harris had one son, Norman Spencer Chaplin who was born in 1919 but died three days after his birth. Charles Spencer Chaplin III (1925–1968) and Sydney Earl Chaplin (1926–2009) were born between Charlie Chaplin and his second wife, Lita Grey.

Annette Emily Chaplin is the youngest daughter of Sir Charles Spencer Chaplin Jr. and his fourth wife Oona O’Neill. Both her parents were famous in acting and have made a lot of contributions to the world of films. Sir Charles Spencer Chaplin Jr., often known as Charlie Chaplin, rose to fame in the era of silent films, and has become a worldwide icon through his screen persona, The Tramp. He is one of the most important personalities in the world of films. Oona O’Neill rose to fame after she was chosen as “The Number One Debutante” of the 1942–1943 season at the Stork Club.
