The early life of Alex Trebek
Alex Trebek was born in Sudbury, Ontario in Canada, on July 22, 1940. His father, known as George Edward, originated from Ukraine and his mother, known as Lucille Legace, comes from franco-Ontarian thus, he was raised in a household where they spoke both French and English.
He joined Sudbury high school and later went to Ottawa University, where he pursued a bachelor’s degree in philosophy up to 1961.
