Own Hart featured in multiple pay-per-view events for the WWF, and was one of the company’s best in-ring performers. However, in one such event, during his entrance from the rafters of Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Missouri, United States, an equipment malfunction making him fall to his death. He died on 23 May, 1999 when young Oje was just seven years old.
Oje Hart’s mother, Martha Hart is known for being a philanthropist and researcher. She wrote a book about her husband’s life and also opened a charity in his name.
